Help with Again&Again: Video Looper
Getting started
- In Shortcuts: create a new shortcut, add the Play Video on Loop action and set how many times to play, then run the shortcut and pick a video from Photos. To play the same video every time, add a Get File action before it that points to your video.
- In the app: open Again&Again, set your options under Try It Here, then tap Choose Video… to pick a video from Photos, or Browse Files… to pick one from Files.
Common questions
- How do I stop a loop early? Tap Done. If controls are hidden, long-press the video.
- Why is Show Controls unavailable? Replace Status Bar hides the on-screen controls so they don’t cover the video. Turn Replace Status Bar off to use controls, or long-press the video to stop.
- What does Replace Status Bar do? When you loop a screen recording, it covers the status bar baked into the recording with the video’s own colors, so your phone’s live status bar shows through instead.
- Where does a loop go when it ends? Loops started from Shortcuts return you to the Shortcuts app. Loops started in the app fade back to the app’s home screen.
- Which videos work? Any video your iPhone can play, from Photos or Files, including screen recordings.
- Can a shortcut ask me which video to play? Yes. Leave the action’s Video empty and Again&Again will open your Photos each time the shortcut runs.
- Can I loop a video straight from the Photos app? Yes. In your shortcut’s settings, turn on Show in Share Sheet and set it to receive media, with the Video set to Shortcut Input. Then tap Share on any video in Photos and choose your shortcut.
